Green Minds

Project closed

Green Minds is biodiversity, climate change, reforestation, and the study of plant life.
The EducatioNest community will create a forest in the hills surrounding Modena, because reforestation is the future, it's action, it's healing. Take action with us!

In collaboration with

The "Green Minds" project is an environmental education designed for children and young people aged 0 to 13 and their families. We will reflect, learn from experts in the field, and be at the forefront of planting our forest.

Main Goal
Reforestation and environmental restoration of a piece of land in our Apennines. EDUCATIONWOOD - our community for a growing forest.
About

Thanks to the partnership with PLANTA REI and the support of the Department of Applied Environmental Botany at UNIMORE, we will launch a project based on reflection on the themes of environmental sustainability, training and direct contact with nature.

On a plot of land in the Modena Apennines, in Toano (RE), a hilly area approximately 600 metres above sea level, we will carry out a reforestation project that will involve the recreation of a real forest made up of various native plant species, respecting the biodiversity of woodland environments and creating a self-sustaining system.

Why do we do this?

Because of the responsibility we all have towards our children , towards the new generations, to leave them a better planet . Our forest, when it reaches 250 trees, will have an estimated average annual CO2 absorption of approximately 14.8 tons.

Details & Costs
  • Purchase: €80 for the purchase of each tree, the on-site planting activity guided by industry experts, and the maintenance of the tree on site (the plants planted are 2-year-old plants, which guarantee a very high success rate);
  • Target for starting the project: 250 trees (possibly extendable depending on the results);
  • Pre-order on our website: from November 22nd to December 6th;
  • Project launch: upon reaching 250 trees purchased;
  • And then? We will continue to care for our forest, visiting it, studying it, loving it.

Actively participate in the project, pre-order your tree in our forest!
