A 0-6 nursery-school in our historic headquarters at Via Monte Sabotino 97. The values of EducatioNest, bilingualism and experiential education, in a welcoming and intimate.
The school is made up of two mixed sections: an accredited and affiliated nursery school for 9-36 months and a kindergarten for 3-6 years.
What sets us apart?
Full immersion in English, initial exposure to Chinese, openness to the world, and an experiential and deductive, inquiry-based pedagogical approach inspired by Reggio Children.
The bright spaces of the two sections are enhanced by two large studios for exploring expressive languages and a large, shaded courtyard.
The menu is organic and balanced , accommodating the dietary needs of every family.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy founded by Loris Malaguzzi, the child growing up at La Casa by EducatioNest is a child with rights and a producer of knowledge, experiencing the learning process independently within a network of social relationships between themselves, the educators, and their families.
It is precisely from this fundamental educational premise that at La Casa by EducatioNest, we strive to create an educational environment for children aged 0-6 that is open and attentive to their needs and curiosities. These needs and curiosities are at the heart of our pedagogical and didactic approach. We are committed to ensuring that this environment serves as a hub and support for the educational triangle of school, child, and family.
Organization
The La Casa Nursery-School by EducatioNest welcomes children from 9 months to 6 years old, divided into:
- Nursery section – 9 to 36 months
- Spring section – 2 years old (children who are already 2 years old at the start of the school year)
- Preschool section – 3 to 6 years old
Each class has two or three teachers, depending on the number of children in the class, and a school assistant. One teacher for each class is a native English speaker and one is Italian, with excellent fluency in English. The teachers are supported by a music, a Chinese language and culture, and a graphics, lighting, and digital teacher.
- The valorization of participation understood as a value and strategy that defines the way children, educators, and parents participate in the educational project.
- The creation of a multilingual and multicultural that welcomes and gives voice to children's linguistic and cultural curiosities and interests;
- A learning environment in which the various languages and traditional tools of teaching are enriched and intertwined with new digital tools used and proposed with a view to digital as a tool that broadens horizons and offers new possibilities for discovery and research.
- An environment rich in tools and materials: not just one book, but many different and varied books where children's critical and analytical skills can collide and develop. Electron microscopes, digital tools, graphics tablets, computers, webcams, oil paints, wax, clay, light tables, light displays—tools for exploration and research with no limits.
- A team of teachers, educators, and staff supporting young, diverse, and multicultural learning, who embody the school's values and support children's questions and research by providing a multilingual and multicultural experience. They also act as a resource for supporting diverse expressive and creative languages , from graphic arts to music, physical expression, and science.
- We are a community open to the local area and connected to the world, to develop social and civic skills of openness, listening, welcoming and understanding others and to be enriched by discussion.
It is a full-time, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm with the possibility of extended hours from 7.30am to 8am and from 4pm to 5.30pm.
The nursery is open from the first Monday in September to the last Friday in June . Summer service is guaranteed until the end of July, always supervised by our nursery's educational staff.
Our nursery is authorized by the Municipality of Modena and offers some spaces through a municipal agreement.
It is possible to access state and regional support (Nursery Bonus and, if eligible, also the Nursery Bonus with the Region).
