Nursery and Preschool English Mother Tongue Teacher

We are looking for passionate and creative NURSERY and PRESCHOOL TEACHERS (from 0 to 6 yo) to join our team of international educators for the upcoming school year.

We are a Reggio Children inspired and bilingual nursery, preschool, elementary and middle school located in Modena, Italy.

We are looking for a JUNIOR profile, who is recently graduated and is eager to learn our pedagogical approach through a paid 12 month internship experience that could be extended or converted to a permanent job position.

Teachers will be matched with a co-teacher with whom they will manage a classroom of 16 -25 children and develop ongoing inquiry-based paths and projects. They must listen to the children, work side-by-side with them, and discover alongside them all of the wonders of the world they are getting to know. Teachers will be in a constant cycle of research, into the educational approach, into new lines of inquiry emerging from the children, into new techniques and tools that can enhance the children's learning.

The teachers are expected to design and plan projects on an ongoing and constant basis, to document the children's work and display it for the children, families, colleagues, and even the public. Teachers will attend professional development activities on topics ranging from child development, bilingualism, and concepts particular to the Reggio approach, including the chance to visit the renowned Loris Malaguzzi Center in Reggio Emilia.

We require:

  • Degrees valid for the teaching to infants and preschoolers (form 0 to 5 years);
  • English mother tongue or C2 certified (the certify need to be present and the candidates will be asked to prove their proficiency);
  • 1 year or less of teaching experience;
  • Experience working in a bilingual environment is appreciated;
  • Willingness to discover our educational approach.

Atelierista of musical disciplines

To enrich our staff at our bilingual and Reggio Emilia Inspired school, we are looking for a collaborator capable of filling the role of: Atelierista of musical disciplines

The ideal candidate is an educator who is able to design and structure workshop/academic activities for children (0-6 years old) and adults. The incumbent must be able to develop project proposals and implement them independently, following the guidelines provided by the Educational Director and in collaboration with the teaching staff.

Required skills:

  • Musical skills and practical operational abilities that take into account the multiplicity of expressive languages ​​and technological potential;
  • An academic background in the educational/preschool field, integrated with master's degrees/courses in music teaching, is essential;
  • Organizational and communication;
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;

We require:

  • Degrees valid for the teaching of MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY;
  • English mother tongue or C2 certified (the certify need to be present and the candidates will be asked to prove their proficiency);

Selection

Our selection process is made up of three interview stages , including a direct observation of class/section work, an aptitude assessment , a technical assessment and, when possible, a group assessment in which relational skills and cooperation are tested .

Onboarding

Participation in preparatory planning meetings is required before the start of the school year; a minimum of 40 hours of training is provided before starting the service; in addition, on-the-job training is provided throughout the school career (minimum 110 hours annually).
