Thank you and goodbye 2024…2025, the year to come

December 2024 marked the end of our school's eighth year. It was a year of milestones and growth in many directions, and even though we're young, looking back, we already feel like we've lived a thousand lives and adventures alongside you—families, students, and staff.

And so here is our 2024 goal dump!

Start of the first cycle of middle school and inauguration of the new spaces

The 2023/24 school year saw the launch of EducatioNest's first private middle school. This major milestone is not only a source of pride in terms of the school's growth, but above all, it reflects the priceless satisfaction of seeing our students grow in their academic skills, achieving excellent levels of bilingualism and demonstrating their ability to study and conduct research independently, with interest and enthusiasm. The joy of these students fills classrooms and hallways daily and is reflected in the excellent results they are achieving. The inauguration of the middle school spaces also allowed the entire school to gain an additional 800 square meters of bright and spacious classrooms, including 210 square meters of creatively and innovatively equipped laboratories and ateliers.

Completion of the first full cycle of private elementary school.
In June 2024, we also graduated the fifth-grade class of 2013: the first class to complete our private elementary school cycle. It was a great thrill to see our children so grown up and ready to face middle school; we've known many of them since kindergarten. In any case, it was a great satisfaction.

Educational Outcomes
The conclusion of the first cycle of private elementary school also gave us the opportunity to reflect and examine the results achieved. 2024 was the year of confirmation that children who are prepared to approach their studies and life positively, confident in themselves and their abilities, and with a burning desire for learning, achieve excellent results.

Vertical growth.
From 3 to 300: from 2016 to 2024, our school has experienced impressive vertical growth. This consistent and organic growth, year after year, is the result of tireless work and dedication to the people of our community. Last year, we reached full capacity in almost every classroom, and the launch of the middle school promises the same ambitious results.

We attract talent.
Over the past three years, peaking in 2024 when the staff reached 49, our workforce has grown by more than 40%, with the majority of this growth occurring in teaching. In addition to the organic growth resulting from the increase in student numbers, the choice was once again to prioritize expanding teaching rather than organizational areas, to once again ensure the highest quality education for our children.

Our choices, our values:
92% of our staff are women and under 40, and we have chosen a policy of permanent contracts rather than temporary employment. We attract talent from around the world and from top universities: 80% of our teaching staff, with extensive experience in the education sector, are foreign native speakers from English-speaking countries, while the remaining 20% are bilingual or have completed their higher education courses entirely in English. In 2024, demand for internships at our school increased exponentially among students from top Italian and international schools and universities.

Communicating better:
New website and management system: another major project for 2024 was to redesign our website and implement a platform that would allow for more effective school-family communication. Our improvement goals include: clarity of information, number of communications, ease of access to information, fluidity of communication, and booking of additional services.

What do we expect for 2025?

Delighted and satisfied with the wonderful results achieved so far, we look forward to realizing all the new and ambitious projects we have been working on for 2025.
In line with the sustainable development goals of the UN 2030 Agenda, we have chosen to focus our energies on:

Save the Planet
project the Green Minds – EducationWood, our community for a growing forest, is part of a cross-cutting educational program that has been a feature of our school for years. Here at EducatioNest, the themes of sustainability, recycling, and the impact of our actions on the environment have always been central to our programs with children, and many of our actions already focus on sustainability. Examples include encouraging families to use foot and bike roots to get to school, an organic kitchen, water dispensers available to students and staff, reducing packaging, and choosing eco-friendly and biodegradable cleaning products. For 2025, we have decided to add another major goal: to create a forest in the hills of our Apennines, a forest to be cared for together and whose biodiversity and carbon footprint will positively impact our environment.

Equal education.
Having awarded the first scholarship in 2024 is not enough for us. Webelieve that the right to access a quality international education should also be guaranteed to those with different opportunities or privileges. For this reason,we plan to implement a permanent social fundraising system that will guarantee us an annual budget to spend on our scholarship. As our primary channel, we will continue to use the sale of our carton water, Wother Kids, even using more structured channels, but we are open to exploring other collaborations with companies or organizations for joint projects.

Quality Education
Our work is a path of constant improvement where the pinnacle is seen when the children and young people who leave our school are: prepared for any type of future path they want to choose – international or otherwise, equipped with critical thinking, able to conduct research independently, but also emotionally centered, able to have respectful, healthy, positive relationships and capable of making thoughtful choices for themselves.

Gender Equality
In addition to the ongoing support for female workers, mothers, and those with special needs that the Human Resources department strives to maintain daily, as an educational agency, we believe it is important to continue teaching new generations of girls and boys, to grow in the belief and commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all genders and orientations, not just in words, but by building a truly more equitable world together.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
2025 will see the confirmation of our commitment to guaranteeing our staff ever-improving economic working conditions, a welfare system that meets their real needs, and professional growth and training plans tailored to their needs and dreams. Some improved conditions have already been envisaged in the2024 national collective bargaining agreement renewal, and we will continue to guarantee and implement others, as we have done in the past as a private company.

Finally, thanks,  because none of this would have been possible without everything that has made this community so strong, beautiful, and united: thanks to all the staff, the coordinators, the partners and suppliers, the families, and especially our children, who are the reason we never give up, every day, and never will.
